Bless Her Heart
I love my daughter with all my heart, but she is getting on my nerves SOOOO bad today!! Every time I turn around, she's right there, wanting to "help" with whatever I'm doing. Unfortunately, her "helping" translates into "standing in Mommy's way so she can't get past me to actually DO what it is that she's trying to do". And, she has NOT shut up! She just jibbers...constantly! I know it's just ME...I'm just having one of my short fuse days, poor thing. But, I will be so glad when it's her bedtime!!

Parenting, At Its Finest
Okay, I admit it!! There are times when I wish that child abuse was legal and socially acceptable! Well, maybe not...but my child was really trying my patience tonight! We went grocery shopping, and she was HORRIBLE!! I mean, she whined and cried and smarted off and backtalked....you name it and, if it was bad, she did it!! Honestly, I LOVE my child, but wow! I'm not sure my sanity can take much more!!!

Supper Time!
I am SO lucky! My daughter is the least picky eater of all the children I know! About the only things I've ever seen her turn down are bananas (and she's even warming up to those now), jello, and onions (she calls them "omyums", which is adorable). Other than that, she eats anything!! She LOVES vegetables, including celery, which I can't say for myself, cause that is some NASTY stuff! She eats whatever I cook and is darn glad to have it! Just the kind of child I can love and appreciate!
I, on the other hand, don't eat anything. This is a mental disorder that I have. I'm afraid to get sick, therefore I don't eat....at all. This disease only hurts after the 3rd year! I haven't had a real "meal" since 2004. Most people would say this is odd...and it is, but it's become a way of life for me! I'm just hoping that one day I can get back to "normal", cause I REALLY want a chicken quesadilla!!

Days Like Today.....
...should be strictly prohibited!! This day has just been crappy from the get-go! I seriously wish I would have stayed in bed....or gone out of town...yeah, out of town would have been better! I have a terrible headache, I'm tired, I'm irritable, I'm concerned about my daughter's future illness she will receive, I'm cranky....I just want to crawl under a rock!!
Hopefully tomorrow will be better....I'd say it can't get any worse, but that would just jinx me.

Boring Day
So far, nothing exciting. Greg went to play golf...or fish....or something, so I don't know if I should do the whole Easter dress shopping today or wait and force (more like guilt) him into going. I know he doesn't WANT to go, but I want someone to go and give me an opinion on her dress. I found a really cute one at Stage the other day, but I wasn't sure if it would make a cute Easter dress or not, and, of course, it was just me and her, so I couldn't really get anyone else's opinion. I want her to have the "perfect" dress, so I need a little assistance. Maybe we'll go LOOK and if I see anything that strikes me, I can either get it, if I'm sure, or bring him back to look if I have doubts about it. Either way, I have to accomplish SOMETHING today!

Weekend Plans
I have SO much I want to accomplish this weekend! I need to get out tomorrow and find Alyssa an Easter dress. We don't currently have a regular church to go to, but I want to find somewhere to take her on Easter Sunday. I love to dress her up in pretty dresses and I really want to start taking her to church regularly so she can develop some wonderful morals and values, like the ones I had growing up. I also think it would be a terrific and free way for her to get some weekly interaction with other children. It would be wonderful for her.
Aside from that, I want to get Alyssa's room cleaned up. I cleaned mine today and now it's time for hers. It's a pigsty!
Then, Monday, we have a dentist appointment. Gotta love the dentist! Alyssa has a cavity and she needs to have a spacer put into the spot where she had a tooth pulled last summer. My poor baby has had some issues with her teeth, bless her heart!!

Old MacDonald Had A Farm....
E-I-E-I-O! And on this farm he had some kids....here a kid, there a kid, everywhere a freakin' kid! Amazing how I only gave birth to ONE child, and yet, between my house and my yard I am now surrounded by FIVE kids!! Luckily, I'm only responsible for two of them at the moment....otherwise I'd be INSANE!! There are people in this world who are cut out for little miniature people....I'm not one of those people!!
I checked out the movie Hollywoodland last night. I didn't hate it, really. It was weird, but not altogether bad. I watched Running With Scissors a few nights ago, too, and THAT one was weird!! It did help me to realize that I'm not officially nuts yet!

Poor Sick Baby
I've been doctoring a sick 4 year old all week. Luckily, it's nothing serious, just a cold, but still....it's heartbreaking to know that your child is sick and there's nothing you can really do other than administer some medicine every 4-8 hours. It's just pitiful and now I'm going to go watch Open Season with her, so maybe she'll feel better.

My Little Girl
I'm sitting here, in the bed, watching my 4 year old daughter sleeping beside me, and I can't believe how much my life has changed since this time 5 years ago. It was about this time in 2002 that I peed on a stick and wound up pregnant (and, yes, I realize that the pregnancy was NOT a direct result of peeing on the stick). I was not happy about it. I did not want any children. I was 22 years old, unmarried, and had just decided to go back to school to finish my education. A baby was absolutely the last thing I needed or wanted. But, alas, the stick was pink, so, ready or not....I would be lying if I didn't say that I explored ALL of my options at that point, but, in the end, I picked the absolute best one! I endured 9 months of annoying, uncomfortable body swelling. I endured morning sickness, and swollen ankles and heartburn. I survived labor and delivery to bring forth the most beautiful little girl ever conceived (mother's opinion). Motherhood is a job I was thrown into accidentally and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world!

The Stockings Will Be Stuffed
I went shopping tonight and began my "stocking stuffers". I'm still not QUITE finished, but I made a great start! I want this Christmas to be great for my little girl, because her birthday wasn't so fabulous. Next year, mark my words, will be the BEST birthday and Christmas of, what will be, her five years...because Mommy is going to start early and have all kinda of things bought for her before this time! I say that every year, but I'm really going to commit myself to it! My Christmases as a child were wonderful and I want my daughter to experience the same thing. I don't think it's too much to strive for.
